The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.
Applications are now open and will close on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must meet the following criteria:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a house by using a combined gross domestic income that doesn't exceed R350 000 per annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined household earnings would not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and need not post any proof of earnings.
